Expanded Reason For Change box

We have resized and expanded the “Reason for Change” text box in the Product Editor, allowing a longer explanation to be visible in full. This makes it easier for users to check for accuracy and spelling before publishing.

Not all allergen changes being highlighted in Product Editor

Allergen attributes in product history were only being highlighted in red when they changed to a positive value - meaning an allergen being removed or cleared appeared in plain text like any other edit and was therefore easy to miss. Every allergen change is now highlighted, including changes to “No”, or to an empty value.

Missing text in “Other Accreditations” field

Information entered in the “Other Accreditation” field was showing only as a heading, with the text itself missing. The entered detail now displays correctly on the specification in the portal and in PDF downloads.

All Components not displaying on Multi-Component Specifications

On some multi-component products, switching between components left the displayed data unchanged - making it appear as though the component had no data of its own. This has been resolved and every component now loads its own data when selected.

Missing units on Energy Values Per Serving

Nutritional information per serving was displaying energy figures without kJ and kcal units - units of measure are now shown.

Duplicate Erudus IDs in CSV Downloads

Users found some CSV downloads could list the same Erudus ID more than once – meaning other products were pushed out of the file. Each product now appears exactly once, so the download matches the full set of products.

Manufacturer users

Large Multipack Specifications not loading every section

On multipack specifications with a high number of components, the “Nutrition As Sold” attributes would not display at all. The Product Editor now loads one component at a time on any section that is component-specific, with a selector to choose which component you’re editing, so specifications with many components will open and publish correctly.

Issue editing Ingredient Declaration on multi-component specifications

On multi-component specifications, editing an ingredient declaration would appear to work but the changes were discarded upon leaving the field, or copied across from one component to another. This has been amended so each component’s declaration is now edited independently and retains its own text.

Gluten-Free Ingredients raising Quality Check notices

Declaring a gluten-free ingredient such as “gluten-free oat flour” alongside an oat allergen set to <20ppm was still raising a Quality Check Notice for users. The check now reads the whole ingredient declaration rather than each comma-separated part on its own, and recognises whole words only, so ingredients such as “coating” no longer trigger the oat check.

Quality Checks appearing even when an Allergen is set to No

Gluten-related Quality Check Notices were still shown even when the allergen itself was set to “No”, and did not clear when the allergen was changed. These notices now only appear where the allergen is actually present, and will update immediately when it changes.

Wholesaler Users

Allergen Change Alerts being missed on Same-Day Edits

Where a product was edited more than once on the same day and the last edit didn’t itself touch the allergens fields, some users found an allergen change made earlier that day could be left out of the daily alert entirely. Alerts now take account of every version created that day, and the “Products with allergen changes” filter has been corrected in the same way.

CSV Downloads not matching the Filtered Range List

Downloading a CSV from a filtered range list - for example, after selecting a Manufacturer from the Range Overview – was producing a file that didn’t match the products shown on screen. The download now returns exactly the filtered set, including where it runs across more than one page.

Manufacturer Name not appearing on specifications

The Manufacturer name was no longer appearing on specifications for Wholesaler users - leaving the contact details at the foot of the page as the only way to identify who supplied a product.

It is now back to showing in the general information section at the top of the specification, and any brand assigned by the Manufacturer are shown alongside.

Brand Filters showing as numeric value rather than brand name

Filtering a product catalogue by brand was displaying the filter as a numeric value rather than the brand name. This has been fixed and applied brand filters now show in plain English.

Newly Published Products appearing as Updates in Daily Emails

Daily update emails were reporting brand-new v1 products as having been “updated”, because first publication was treated the same as a genuine change. New products are now excluded from update alerts.

Allergen Exemption Wording

Additional Allergen Information containing legitimate exemption wording - for example, noting that maltodextrin derived from wheat is exempt from gluten allergen labelling, was incorrectly reporting that the wheat and gluten attributes were set incorrectly, and prevented the specification being published. This wording is now recognised and no longer blocks publishing.
